Making things easier usually leads to happier employees. Infinisource and SmartFlex have teamed up to make medical purchases through Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) easier with a no-hassle Walgreens solution.
SmartFlex Debit Card purchases at Walgreens are now auto-substantiated at the point-of-sale. Yes, that means no need for receipts and no waiting for reimbursement checks.
How does this work? At Walgreens your SmartFlex Debit Card can distinguish between eligible FSA purchases (e.g., over-the-counter cough medicine or a prescription) and non-eligible purchases (e.g., a box of crackers). The Walgreens point-of-sale system will allow the SmartFlex Debit Card to purchase eligible items and request another form of payment for non-eligible items.
This virtually eliminates the need to provide receipts and or submit a claim form for later reimbursement. Currently, Walgreen stores and www.drugstore.com are the only merchants participating in this arrangement with SmartFlex and Infinisource.
